Right now we are memorizing as a family the following passages:
1 John 3:10-22
1 Cor 13: 4-7
We were experiencing a great deal of non-loving behaviour, especially between our 2 oldest. We also had them keep a "fight list" on the computer...whenever they had a fight with one another they had to write what it was about, then we examined it in light of James 4:1-10...pretty convicting stuff!
Things have gotten much better here. We have found that the Lord uses His word in powerful ways in our children's lives.
And yes it is normal, normal sin that is, but it is not a situation that we need (or should) accept as believers. There will be conflict but the goal is for our children (and us) to learn how to settle things in a way that is honoring to the Lord, with love and compassion.
Hope this helps.
