[Support our Advertisers!] Contributions from our Members:   Curriculum Wars! ... When we first began to homeschool, there were few choices in curriculum and practically no homeschool curriculum developers at all. Homeschooling families were few and scattered so we rarely had the opportunity to discuss various curriculum or methods with peers. Instead, we were forced to do the best thing possible--DEPEND ON GOD. [Support our Advertisers!]

Go for it! Especially if you think he'll probably outgrow his long pants before next winter. I used to do this all the time...when my son grew, he always grew UP before he grew OUT...so the pants would be too short, but they still fit in the waist & seat, so they made great shorts.

Thanks ladies. I'm going to make some shorts this weekend. He should be able to wear these pants in the fall but we're homeschooling next fall and he won't need uniform pants. He has FOUR pairs of navy pants! lol I was going to keep a pair and then give the rest to a friend that has a boy still attending the school in the fall. But, now I'm thinking I'll make two pairs shorts, then give one pair and keep on pair of pants. I'll pass the shorts on to her too if she wants them. I'll just keep one pair for church.

I'm starting to think I'll make shorts out of all of his highwaters. That would save me some money since he REALLY needs shorts.

"Truly Educated People" ... My love of literature has only blossomed in the past few years. In that short time, I have learned so much through the written word. My love for God's Word has grown immeasurably.
