I'm not sure how, but, even with my hectic schedule, I started reading, A New Song, the latest Mitford book from Jan Karon. I could identify with the main character, Father Tim. As he prepares to leave (temporarily) the town he's lived in for 16 years, he races from appointment to appointment, commitment to commitment, errand to errand. [Support our Advertisers!]

How is it going ladies? What are your plans for the challenge of Thanksgiving?

Last week, I purposely did not exercise. I took the whole week off. I slept in the mornings and was really careful with my diet and the reward was over 3 pounds gone!

My Thanksgiving plan is to just eat the veggies and turkey. I have enough of my own desserts in the freezer that I can just have those instead. I don't like that after Thanksgiving feeling.

Also on Thanksgiving, I am starting a running streak. The plan is to run at least one mile everyday between Thanksgiving and New Years. It sounds like a great goal to keep active.

I'm also starting to think about my goals and resolutions for 2018.

Pre-Holiday Pep Talk ... The Holiday season is close upon us, and for those of us who are domestically-challenged besides homeschooling we may sense a growing impression of panic that is overtaking our best intentions.
