I am off to work today teaching field ecology! First class is today--we will discuss sustainability and population dynamics, tour the museum and grounds, begin journaling, and generally get to know one another. My co-teacher knows the students pretty well, since they were in her science class this past school year. I think it's going to be a lot of fun and pretty easy this year.

When we met to prep on Monday, we found that we had all our materials sorted in tubs and ready in the class binder, so we just had to move the materials to the class site and make a list of a few items we need from home. Taking the extra half day at the end of the program last year to sort the materials by day really paid off for us this year!

And the weather is mild and sunny--perfect! Very Happy

I need to get there by 8:30 to set up and we go till 3. Probably we will stay till 3:30 or 4 so we can plan for next Wednesday. Not sure what the dinner plan is tonight...it could be pizza...

What's going on at your house?

Have a great day! SOAP for all of you.

Busy day at home for me. (I'm staying at home more this summer, because ds has a full time job, so unless I want to get up and take him to work, I have no car.)

Bills and checkbook
Paperwork for dh
Sweep wood floors
Get my lesson ready for Bible class with my 3-5 year olds tonight
Work in front flower bed (A friend with a green thumb helped me figure out flowers to plant there and went shopping with me to get them yesterday. Now, I need to empty it so she and I can plant them next week.)
Dinner - lasagne, salad, garlic bread
Visit Doris
Bible study

So, that's what I need to do. What I WANT to do is vegetate and eat a lot of junk. I'm stressed over ds - parenting young adults is just HARD. Sigh.

Morning. Well, I am officially unemployed. When we spoke again her version of an apology was, "I shouldn't have been so harsh, but..." followed by a 10 minute diatribe about everything that is making her life hard right now. (It just got a lot harder because today is the end-of-the month billing and she has not done it in over 2 years. What takes me a couple of hours takes her days to complete). The diatribe ended with her accusing me of never contacting her. I explained that I often email, text, and call multiple times with no response. Her answer to that was, "I ultimately need someone who is capable of getting in touch with me." Obviously, this person is not me. When she said that we should back up and reevaluate and see how we should end this, I said I would just like to make a clean break and we were done. So, that's it.

Unfortunately, she was my only client. I put up with her for so long because I loved the work, the flexibility, and the hours. Now, I need to try to find another client or another work-from-home job. I really don't want to work outside the home again. Especially now that I have the responsibility of the co-op. But, we do still need the money. Please, continue to pray for me and this situation.

Today:
Take DD for mani/pedis (my mom is treating us)
Pick up Jack
Clean/laundry
Go to visitation at church

Good Morning Lovelies,

Rainy and cool here - where is my 98* and humidity? Razz

Stacy, I'm sorry the job ended that way. Praying for something to come along (quickly) that will be a good fit for you and your family.

We are up and headed to the chiro. for dd. This afternoon is grocery shopping and general pick up in the house. This evening is watching a soccer game with a friend for dd while my favorite sister-in-law and I walk and solve the problems of the world. Laughing Laughing Wink

Have a lovely day, all.

Lisa, your day sounds fun! I'm glad you've got lovely weather for it. Smile

Elise, I always envisioned parenting struggles gently coming to an end with young adulthood. Confused Didn't happen that way around here.

Stacy, I'm so sorry. Sad I'll be praying that you are able to find a better fit with someone else really quickly! {{{{HUGS}}}}

Renee, let me know when you come up with those solutions! Wink

Quiet day today.

RABBITS!
Boys to help mil
Mop MB&B
Re-organize entertainment center (I've been unhappy with the symmetry of things, lol)
Water outside plants
Steve has sound

I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. ~Phil 3:13-14~

Gosh - I'm so sorry I have been MIA.

We've started homeschooling a bit this week with some non-dinosaur things...I'm going to have to go back to dinosaur connections, LOL. Jonah's great with everything, though.

Today was a lot of rush...tidying up the kitchen, which was neglected, finishing the laundry, organizing, errands/grocery. And then my husband calls (after I spent a little extra and then splurged for snacks and lunch out with Jonah) that he wants me to have all this budget stuff prepared and itemized...I haven't been in charge of the budget or bank stuff for years. And apparently we've been placing a lot of "trust" that we can sorta/kinda not do what we should in watching things and balancing things. We're not near red, and we are not bouncing...but I think a recent discussion had him really realize we need to get back on track (and we do - me especially). So, for the last few hours I've been tracking, itemizing, logging the last three months. I have to go to the bank tomorrow to reset passwords for online access (I forgot ours, and tried too many times to get in).

Managed to get Jonah to eat broccoli with a cheese sauce tonight. It took an hour for him to eat. He was doing so well (and I was feeling pretty accomplished since we did it without drama) and on the very last bite he threw up. So, he'll definitely not have sauce ever again and probably not ever agree to broccoli (he does not like any sauce on anything...not even chocolate on ice-cream...this was an attempt to broaden what I could make for dinner).

Peace

Oh - Stacy - I have been MIA for longer than I thought - the whole story is foreign/out of the blue for me. I'll certainly pray (and good for you!).

Peace
