So perhaps we can all strive to encourage each other in this common goal-- training our children up in the way they should go (the Lord's Way!) without casting judgments based upon whether we follow a certain program or method of homeschooling --whether we use textbooks, unit studies or other resources in a formal or relaxed style. Instead, let each family seek wisdom and discernment from the Lord! He will never fail! [Support our Advertisers!]

15 As for mortals, their days are like grass; they flourish like a flower of the field; 16 for the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place knows it no more. 17 But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children's children, 18 to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments. Psalm 103:15-18

Last Wednesday, two women in my knitting group passed away. Although both were elderly, in their 80s, both were vital, active women, and their deaths were completely unexpected. Also last week, the sister of one of dd's friends died. She was only in her 30's, and it was completely unexpected. And she was 5 months pregnant. Crying or Very Sad In the face of these deaths, I have found this psalm to be very comforting.

It looks as if early spring is upon us. The temperature has been above freezing for almost a week (except occasionally at night), and next week looks like it will be the same. We are expecting rain (not snow!) this weekend, so between the melting and the rain, we could have bare spots on the ground by Monday.

Here are my plans today:

Coffee & quiet
Clean out fridge
Make grocery list
Grocery store
Finish reading book discussion book
Miscellaneous paperwork
Dh brings take out for dinner
Book discussion 6:30

What is going on at your house today?

Have a great day! SOAP for all of you.

Thoughts on Mothering ... Every mother of more than one child has times when she feels stretched in several directions at once--trying to meet the needs of each individual child.
