Last weekend I was at dh's family reunion. I ate too much and exercised too little. Tried to make up for it this week. Why is it always so much harder to lose a pound than to gain one? Sad

How has your week been as far as eating goes?

I have still been eating out of boredom...lots of snacks, and they add up to too many calories. I am going to prep some fresh veggies and have them in the fridge for snacks, as soon as I finish this post!

How has your week been as far as exercise goes?
This has gone better--I went to aquafit every possible morning, and I met my step goal every day except one.

How is your progress toward your goal?
I have gained a pound. So, regression, not progress...Sad

What are your goals for the coming week?
I would like to lose the pound I gained, and another pound as well. I will be working three days this week and volunteering another day, so those are days I won't have time to snack. Hopefully that will make a difference.

How are you all doing this week?

Dh is off to some car shows today, and he works from 3-8 tonight. I am going to spend some time preserving some of the fruits & veggies from the garden, cleaning the upstairs, and weeding the garden. That should take me most of the day! I will go to church at 6:30.

Tomorrow I work at the museum from 11:30 till 4. I might go to a farmer's market before that, or maybe I will just lounge at home with dh. The weather is supposed to be lovely, so we will cook dinner on the grill, and maybe have a campfire afterward.

What's going on at your house?

Have a wonderful weekend! SOAP for all of you.

I'm a half-step away from unplugging from everywhere but CHF for a period. The pull, though, to news media is pretty great for me. I've been living in 2 weeks of some dark cloud life, little sleep and obsessive irritation...so I'm not sure how else to handle it. However, two police officers shot in the city on the same shift as my husband, and an uprising percolating in our neighborhood (we are an urban community that has statues and civil war parks). There's some real heat. Even my husband and I don't agree on what the proper action is, but at least he and I can civilly hold a conversation with facts of the matter.

So...it looks like the fall will see us trapped here, is what I feel. I'm angry at my city, country and neighborhood. I see simple solutions (or at least suggested solutions), but how to get that out there?

Woke up with my husband in bed next to me, though, so that's a prayer answered.

This weekend we are celebrating our grandson's 2nd birthday. I'm not crazy comfortable with her ILs (of which there are a hundred) so for Franklin and I it will be an exercise in overcoming some personal issues but more so introvertedness will be tested severely. And it's outside to boot (and the weather is brutal). Franklin can handle it, as can Jonah...I seem to melt even in the winter, LOL. Please pray for us if you think about it. Last time I was called to do something similar, your prayers really helped.

Today we took Jonah to a 3-D dinosaur documentary aimed at little kids for the target audience. Jonah really enjoyed it, Franklin fell asleep despite the kid behind him kicking the seat every so often. We're home and he's taking a nap (going on two hours now) and I'm waiting my turn for one as well.
