I am off to work today teaching field ecology! First class is today--we will discuss sustainability and population dynamics, tour the museum and grounds, begin journaling, and generally get to know one another. My co-teacher knows the students pretty well, since they were in her science class this past school year. I think it's going to be a lot of fun and pretty easy this year.

When we met to prep on Monday, we found that we had all our materials sorted in tubs and ready in the class binder, so we just had to move the materials to the class site and make a list of a few items we need from home. Taking the extra half day at the end of the program last year to sort the materials by day really paid off for us this year!

And the weather is mild and sunny--perfect! Very Happy

I need to get there by 8:30 to set up and we go till 3. Probably we will stay till 3:30 or 4 so we can plan for next Wednesday. Not sure what the dinner plan is tonight...it could be pizza...

What's going on at your house?

Have a great day! SOAP for all of you.

Busy day at home for me. (I'm staying at home more this summer, because ds has a full time job, so unless I want to get up and take him to work, I have no car.)

Bills and checkbook
Paperwork for dh
Sweep wood floors
Get my lesson ready for Bible class with my 3-5 year olds tonight
Work in front flower bed (A friend with a green thumb helped me figure out flowers to plant there and went shopping with me to get them yesterday. Now, I need to empty it so she and I can plant them next week.)
Dinner - lasagne, salad, garlic bread
Visit Doris
Bible study

So, that's what I need to do. What I WANT to do is vegetate and eat a lot of junk. I'm stressed over ds - parenting young adults is just HARD. Sigh.

Morning. Well, I am officially unemployed. When we spoke again her version of an apology was, "I shouldn't have been so harsh, but..." followed by a 10 minute diatribe about everything that is making her life hard right now. (It just got a lot harder because today is the end-of-the month billing and she has not done it in over 2 years. What takes me a couple of hours takes her days to complete). The diatribe ended with her accusing me of never contacting her. I explained that I often email, text, and call multiple times with no response. Her answer to that was, "I ultimately need someone who is capable of getting in touch with me." Obviously, this person is not me. When she said that we should back up and reevaluate and see how we should end this, I said I would just like to make a clean break and we were done. So, that's it.

Unfortunately, she was my only client. I put up with her for so long because I loved the work, the flexibility, and the hours. Now, I need to try to find another client or another work-from-home job. I really don't want to work outside the home again. Especially now that I have the responsibility of the co-op. But, we do still need the money. Please, continue to pray for me and this situation.

Take DD for mani/pedis (my mom is treating us)
Pick up Jack
Go to visitation at church
