[Support our Advertisers!] Contributions from our Members:   Overcoming Opposition ... A study using Mark 5:1-20. Jesus had suggested the trip and the disciples had willing followed. As they followed the instructions of Jesus they were met with opposition from the devil, i.e. the storm and the raging sea. Opposition could be expected since they were going about the business of plundering strongholds of the enemy. [Support our Advertisers!]

I have been reveling in having some time off! Yesterday, I did some garden shopping and picked up tomato plants and some perennials for my front garden. Also got one of those low garden benches that flips over to become a kneeler...easier on my old bones! I used a gift certificate to the garden store that I got for Mother's Day, so it didn't break the budget.

Today, my plan is:

Coffee & quiet
Knitting group
Work in the garden
Pasta for dinner

How about you?

Have a great day! SOAP for all of you.

Good Morning,

Where did Tuesday go? Yikes!

Today is the 6 week check up with the surgeon. X-ray/MRI - one or the other, or both for dd. She's hoping to be given 25% weight bearing.

Otherwise I need to:

** school w/dd
** groceries
** walk with favorite sister in law
** couple of other errands
** meet my sister in town to exchange stuff
** check in w/my parents as they head out of state - My uncle is not doing well and the family has been called in. (My Mom's brother in law)
** youth group for dd tonight depending on how she's feeling

Off to get dd up and going so we can make it to the surgeon on time. Have a lovely day, all!

25yos, 23yos, 13 yod I guess I am old enough for adult children.

My stomach hurts, but I still choose joy! :-)

Stacy - good luck with the potty training! Great job, Jack!

It's looking truly sunny outside, but were expecting severe thunderstorms the majority of the day. I thought I'd be waking up to it, honestly.

I'm combing through HOA bylaws today. I never wanted to be "that" neighbor, but I have seven months worth of construction on the other side of our wall with contractors more often than not starting at 7.a.m. Franklin's been very calm/cool about things, but his tiredness is affecting us and endangering him with his night shift duty (he's barely getting a couple hours sleep before the noise begins). This morning I banged as hard as I could on the wall - upset Franklin more than the construction, I think.

Morning! Jack is still doing great with the potty training. He had one accident, yesterday, but it was partly my fault. I forgot to take him out of a Pull-up right away after his game. So, he ended up going in the Pull-up. As long as he's been in the underwear, he's done great.

Lisa, I'm glad you've been enjoying your time off!
Renee, prayers that everything is healing well for your DD
Jamie, how frustrating! I hope they will be able to find a way to be more considerate!

Today's goals:
Make a few calls
Send some introductory emails to possible locations for our co-op
15 minutes cleaning in current zone
Put dinner in crock pot
Meet with my pastor about using the church for co-op?

Stacy, mom to 11-year-old boy/girl twins and a three-year-old boy.

Banks and loans are so weird when it comes to houses. With our first house, we bought, closed, and a couple of weeks later, the former owner came by to re-do something around the woodturning stove. Even though the bank and the insurance and everything approved and went through with the closing, the insurance came back later and said they had to fix that. Not us. The former owners. How crazy is that?!

The seller is getting an appraisal so she can come up with a price. We won't hear anything for three weeks. We were told we couldn't use that appraisal for the loan either and we have to get our own separate one. At that rate it will take a few months before this does anything. We just hope after all this waiting the price isn't out of his range.
The other house were to look at Saturday wasn't suppose to be listed. It was a computer glitch.
