The weekend is here! What are your plans?

I have a DKG meeting this morning. Then I have some errands to run. I am going to pick up a gift certificate to the toy store where dh used to work for dd's BF's ds who lost his home in a fire. The boy has autism (but is pretty high functioning). He really needs certain toys (rubics cube, etc) that soothe him. Dh's boss said she will match whatever we contribute toward the certificate. She is so generous, and she understands autism.

As if there isn't enough drama, the kid's mom is trying to keep dd's BF from having visitation, and she has been preventing him from taking the boy for the weekends that the court specified, so he filed paperwork yesterday. Too bad that stress is added to everything already going on. Please pray that this situation can be resolved in the very best way for the boy! He is eleven--old enough to understand a lot of what is going on... Sad

Sunday is an open day except for church...I have a bunch of paperwork to attend to, so I guess I will be doing that, since the coming week looks pretty full.

What's going on in your world?

Have a wonderful weekend! SOAP for all of you.

"Getting Rid of Gunk" ... "No one makes a Christian do devotions. I can decide freely how much effort I spend maintaining my soul. Am I as concerned about maintaining an attractive, pure witness as I am a clean pool? Sometimes not. Resting on yesterday's devotions or last Sunday's sermon can foul my soul as surely as my neglect spoils my pool."
