I lost what I gained last week and am back to 16 lbs down. Dh and I are starting low carb this week so hopefully that will give me a bit of a kick in the right direction.

How are you all doing?

I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. ~Phil 3:13-14~

Whatchy'all up to? Very Happy We've got lovely weather here this weekend. The high is supposed to be 82* today and there's not a 90 in sight on my weather app for the next 10 days. Dare I say it? Perhaps our autumn is actually starting! Woo! Smile

Mil has been having complications with a procedure she was to have done to see if the mass in her pancreas is cancer or not. Two attempts in the past two days were no-goes, so she'll have to go again sometime next week for them to try a different method. That leaves my coming week up in the air a bit. If it's not scheduled for Tuesday, then I have to take my mom in for hand surgery. Anyway... all that to say that this weekend will consist of lying low and conserving oomph for next week. Smile I've got two afghans in progress and may start a third. Luke stays with my mom and her dh on Friday/Saturday so I should use that time to figure out and work on his afghan.

Here's a pic of what it'll (hopefully, lol) look like when done.

Happy autumn! Smile

I spent a good part of the day at a DKG meeting...nice lunch out (and spent the night at a friend's lake house last night--7 of us all together). Dh is at work till 8, so I took a walk and am now waiting for Michigan football to start. I am going to work on the shawl I am making while the game is on. Church tonight...that's about it for the day. Leftovers for dinner if I am hungry, but I at so much at breakfast and lunch (and dinner last night...plus wine) that I may not have dinner.

Tomorrow is pretty much open. I plan to go to the farmers market in the morning, and to bake bread and do laundry and pay bills...and work in the garden. Nothing much except the routine stuff.

WE still have not heard any word from dh's stepfather, so will be praying and waiting for information and trying the hotlines periodically.

Pam, praying for your mom and mil as they deal with their health issues.

Have a wonderful weekend! SOAP for all of you.

Women In Ministry??? ... This is a compilation of several threaded discussions on the Bible Issues section. The first poster asks, "So I have to ask, after reading all the posts on submission and cultural interpretations how do you all feel, react or handle women in ministry? Do you think they are out of the Lords will? Just curious for other thoughts."
