This morning Jonah and I made an old favorite we haven't in probably a year: Dutch Babies. It honestly was simple, we've decided to make it a Friday morning breakfast ritual.

Tonight there is a free outdoor movie "The Great Race" showing..I'm alone with Jonah and contemplating whether it is something he can see. Is anyone familiar?

The remainder of the weekend will be split between making sure Jonah has enough early a.m. outdoor playtime in the heat (it feels like a HOT wet blanket engulfs you as soon as you step outside) and finishing prep for homeschooling this fall.

Jamie, I found another website (while checking a movie for ds) and it did have The Great Race on it.

I found the movie on Amazon - and decided to rent/watch...we looked at it for 20 minutes and I had to turn it off (really would have before hand). There was little that Jonah, at his age, picked up (that I can surmise) but there were things in it that I found to be frustrating watching with a little kid (the ridiculous pro-fem scenes would have annoyed me if I were viewing it just on my own). It was funny to explain to Jonah that "this is what a car used to look like" and that sort of thing. The airplane (which was little more than a bicycle with wings sitting behind the pilot) was interesting/fascinating for Jonah. He talked the entire time, asking questions and providing commentary, so I was glad to have previewed it a little before hand instead of our disturbing an entire audience. It probably is a little entertaining if you aren't having to watch for little ears and eyes.

Peace

Hi! I was locked out as well for a about a month, and Tamara tried to help. She noted that Chrome didn't seem compatible with CHF (and that's what I had been using successfully up until then), but for me, it ended up being a password management service called 'LastPass' that stores encrypted passwords in private accounts. Once that was deleted, I have managed to get back into CHF with very little problems.

Peace

A Christ-Centered Home ... So perhaps we can all strive to encourage each other in this common goal-- training our children up in the way they should go (the Lord's Way!) without casting judgments based upon whether we follow a certain program or method of homeschooling --whether we use textbooks, unit studies or other resources in a formal or relaxed style. Instead, let each family seek wisdom and discernment from the Lord! He will never fail!
