[Support our Advertisers!] Contributions from our Members:   Divorce and the Call to Ministry ... I was asked by group leader in my Bible study if I'd consider a leadership position. I prayed and felt it was a good thing, my dh and kids supported me and I let them know I could do it. I was then interviewed for the position. It started out great. I shared my testimony of coming to know Christ as Lord and was just so enthusiastic. Then, the bomb came...I had been divorced years ago. This eliminated me from leading a group of women...With this plea for wisdom a great discussion was born! The divorced and ministry, are the two compatable? [Support our Advertisers!]

Good morning! I have a busy day today. Here's the plan:

Coffee & quiet
Yoga 8:30
Post office (mail a letter, get stamps)
Osher class 10:30
Lunch at my friend Cally's
Osher class 2:00
Leftovers for dinner

Dh is expecting a couple of visitors. His boss and a former boss (both shops are in the same little mall) are stopping by together. And the instructor of my 2 pm class (dh has also taken classes from him) is going to visit him. Phil is a minister, and really connected with dh when he was in his class.

What's going on at your house?

Have a great day! SOAP for all of you.

Good Morning,

Today is some running around, school, and work. We are celebrating half-birthdays this weekend w/my side of the family so I need to go grab a couple more gift cards and the all important peppermint patties for my one nephew. Smile

Otherwise, dd needs to keep cracking on her school work and I will work this late afternoon.

Stores need to open before 10 so I can get more done! Razz

I came earlier to post... and it didn't happen! Laughing

Laundry is a must today. The little wanna be roomba thing is running around but sometimes that's more of a pain than not because it requires some babysitting. Luke is helping me pre-prep dinner tonight. It'll all be ready to throw in the oven around 5:00 tonight. He's got Awana and I hope to make more progress on his afghan while I wait. Smile

Depending on how much energy I can muster I may try repotting plants, too.

I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. ~Phil 3:13-14~

Training Children (And Parents!) ... It all starts with us--are we seeking the Lord for wisdom? Do we have a positive attitude toward our child or do we view him as a burden or a problem? Are we disciplining calmly, in love, or are we giving into anger and raising our voices?
