Can you believe that April is nearly over? It's a misty, moisty morning, but the weekend, starting Friday afternoon, is supposed to be hot! Still lots of April showers predicted into the first week of May...time to start buying seeds, weeding, and planting.

I am going to a Delta Kappa Gamma event this weekend. My chapter is in charge of the annual Tri-Chapter meeting on Saturday. Some of us are spending Friday night at the fabulous lake house belonging to one of the members. We'll prepare food for the luncheon, have a nice dinner together, and generally gab, drink wine by the lake, and have fun. So today I have to get ready. I had planned to bring brownies for the luncheon, and homemade sourdough bread for the dinner...but my oven's heating element died. Mad So I have to figure out what I can do instead...and also find a little baby gift for a member who is expecting--we are putting a basket together. She is also my teaching partner for the summer class, and I have known her since before she was born (patted her mama's tummy... Wink ), so I will be making a really nice gift just from me, but I want something small (hopefully practical) to go in the basket.

Today is grocery shopping, baby gift shopping, and generally getting things ready to leave dh alone tomorrow evening. He'll be fine...but I want to make sure there is food he will like in the house. I will be working at the museum on Sunday and volunteering on Monday all day...so not much down time the next few days!

What's going on at your house?

Have a great day! SOAP for all of you.

Morning! Today is the beginning of a very busy weekend (I doubt I'll make it back here tomorrow, so I'll just post the plan today). I have been feeling stressed about how much has to be squeezed into one weekend for a while, now. So, this morning, I spent some extended time in prayer and reading my Bible in order to prepare. Then, I came to the kids and talked to them about our attitudes in the midst of stress and the importance of staying focused on the Lord in the midst of our busyness.

"An Angry Tailspin" ... I thought about this post for awhile and I grieve for you and with you. I didn't smash a chocolate cake in anyone's face but when I was in an angry tailspin I have done plenty that embarrassed me and saddened the Lord Jesus Christ.
