Some homes and businesses are still without power. Please pray for business owners. Some of them are stretched very thin.

No kidding. I ranted about this a few years ago. Sometimes it's not just what characters say and do, it's about the agenda.

I could never find anything when my kids were little, but I googled and found a bunch. I use kidsinmind.com for movies and trust them, but idk about the sites listed for books as far as which ones are trustworthy. It may be a trial and error thing.

I've also used this...

and this...

Those aren't from a Christian standard, but a bit of a higher standard in excellence of writing (which automatically weeds out some of what we want to avoid).

I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. ~Phil 3:13-14~

Good Morning,

We got up and got productive - I love those types of mornings!

Fresh blueberry muffins for breakfast and school.

Dd has co-op this afternoon and then youth group tonight which means I get to walk w/favorite sister-in-law. The days are rapidly getting shorter so we are having to double-time it to get our 5 miles in. Cool

Afternoon, ladies.

We are to have company over this evening. Which of course means that our cat suddenly needs a vet and our couch cushions were completely stained last night, requiring a wash and dry outside. Errands took a long time this morning, and I'm just home ... two and a half hours before they arrive and I feel I have several hours worth of chores to do before then...but am so wiped out physically and emotionally.

I'm giving myself until 3p, then I'm scooping things off my dining room table into a laundry basket and hiding it, doing the dishwasher and then scrub the bathroom. Hopefully that will leave me time for a shower.

Peace

Jamie, I'm praying for peace and an extra measure of oomph for you today. Smile

Things are quiet here today. I woke up after 11 Shocked and am really dragging. Luke had almost all of his schoolwork finished by the time I got up. He and Andrew are doing an electrical project dh wanted them to do. I might attempt another batch of bread. It's a new recipe and I've yet to do it correctly one time, lol! Yesterday I forgot the two tiny teaspoons of salt (for two big loaves) and quickly learned the value of them! Laughing This is the better recipe, so that's good to know at least. The old one is going in the bin. Other than that I may listen to my body and rest. Rachel's afghan is coming along and that may be the only other thing on today's agenda.
