Good morning! We have a busy weekend ahead. How about you? Here's my plan:|
Coffee & quiet
Brunch with my DKG friends
Take cookies to museum
Tidy up downstairs
Get out creche and stained glass
Work on Christmas gifts
Bills & budget
Work on gifts
Segun (Nigerian student) visits at noon. He will go to the Spanish church service with dh at 2:30.
Pick up Akwasi (Ghanaian student) at 2:00 (and maybe some of his friends)
We are planning to cook some African food...groundnut soup with chicken, rice balls, and goat stew. After dinner we will go see the Christmas lights at the local shrine, and enjoy their display of manger scenes from all over the world (there are over 100 in the collection!)
Dh is doing so much better! The visiting nurse told him she thought his recovery so far is in the "miracle" range. He has responded very well to the chemo. He is not at his normal energy level, but he is planning to work a few days next week for a few hours each time, if he feels well enough. We are very encouraged and hopeful that he may do quite a bit better than the average for this disease.
What's on your schedule, this second weekend of Advent?
Have a wonderful weekend! SOAP for all of you.

Lisa ! Such a joy to read the update on your husband!
We had family Christmas with my side of the family yesterday. It was loud, hectic, and fun! Lots of laughing, some very loud "spot it" game playing, good food, fun gifts, and just so nice to all be together.
Today is a big brunch with my husband's side of the family and then the guys/girlfriend are headed back to Utah. I'm off to:
** make 2nd egg bake
** check bread in the oven
** make fruit salsa
** get table set w/Christmas plates, linens
** put roof box on the pretty car
** sweep pergo
** pick up their late night wii playing mess in the porch
** walk dog
** pack up
Have a lovely day, all.
25yos, 23yos, 13 yod I guess I am old enough for adult children.
My stomach hurts, but I still choose joy! :-)
