I'm only putting this into Hot Topics because it is, at the core, a political question.

Has there been an unusually heavy push this election season to vote early? I have never personally taken note of a campaign so focused on early voting...and am wondering if it is just me, or if it is actually unusual. Part of me was kinda/sorta wondering if a good portion of it, if I'm actually seeing a more heavily blanketed approach, had to do with the October surprise threat.

Peace

I think there is a feeling that turnout will be very high. Early voting is meant to allay some of that. I might vote early, but I might not. I like voting on election day. Our precinct generally has low turnout, so I guess we'll see.

I tend to agree with Leigh...IMHO, it is supposed to help prevent those long lines that keep poll workers at their posts till 11 or midnight (because anyone in line at 7:00 must be allowed to vote). But I can also see that it prevents people from changing their minds if something changes between casting their vote and the actual election day.

I really have mixed feelings about early voting.

Blessings,

I'm not sure what would change my mind between now and next Tuesday.

I know that early voting alleviates the actual election day lines...I'm really noticing the push for it has ramped up this year, that's all.

I guess it's the idea that voting faster will win the election? Laughing

I voted today. It's the last day of early voting in Tennessee. I'm off today and wasn't sure what my work schedule would be like next week.

Lots of tension. Wow.

Missing The Mark? ... We see "socialization" as opportunities for fellowship and/or ministry and not limited to peer groups. We believe that these skills are best developed and nurtured from a place of strength and security in a loving family, reaching out to others together--sharing Jesus with a lost and dying world, edifying and encouraging our brothers and sisters in the Lord.
