Evil or Very Mad Not happy with the scale.

I ran a half marathon on Saturday on the treadmill. I felt great after and don't have any residual pain. I've been running a lot. And gaining weight. I don't get it and I am not happy. Running makes me happy. I get the endorphin rush and it helps my mood a lot. I have a running goal to accomplish this week, but I guess I need to cut back on my mileage after that and maybe I'll start to lose again. I don't know. I'm very frustrated with the whole thing. I've gained enough since the beginning of the year, my jeans are uncomfortable. But since the beginning of the year, I've ran/walked over 150 miles! Makes no sense....<sigh>

I've lost 3lbs, but that is only because I have been sick and not eating much. I'm going to try to keep it off, but I may gain some back when I start eating. I'm sure my body is a bit in shock right now.

Tracy, are you eating more with all the running? Or has your diet/calorie intake remained the same?

Tracy, how frustrating! Sad

Stacy, that's always the silver lining to being sick! Laughing

I'm up but am working on getting my eating under control. It's some better, but not where it needs to be.

I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. ~Phil 3:13-14~

I do eat more, but not enough to be gaining at this rate. I kind of know it is the physical stress or running and how I react, but I have a hard time finding a balance. I'm trying a few different things this week, so we'll see.

And I have a sign in my closet that says, "I'm just one stomach flue away from my goal weight." I'm a lot more than that from my goal weight, but still it comforts me when I do feel sick. :0 Kind of a "sorry you were sick, but not sorry too."

Overcoming Condemnation ... Why do you allow condemnation to overwhelm you when you see your child's weak areas or your own weaknesses? You do need to work in these areas, but don't try to tackle everything at once. It will not only overwhelm you, but it will overwhelm your child and take the joy out of homeschooling and learning together!
