I figured you ladies would know...

We have a wooden deck (think porch) and I would love to have some heat out there during the winter. I know a fire pit is out of the question, considering it's a narrow space built of wood...

Is there any attractive heating source I can put out there safely?

I don’t know of anything...we just stay indoors when it gets too cold, or we dress for the cold and stay active.

If you can enclose it, it will stay warmer. I know folks who put clear plastic up to enclose their porches for spring and fall. Not attractive, but it helps.

You can get a patio heater. They are tall and run on propane tanks. It will warm you up a little.

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it!

Be glad that you're homeschooling! ... I used to teach Kindergarten many years ago. One year I had 34 students and no aide...and the vast majority of those children were dawdlers ! I used to circle the room, giving re-direction instructions as I'd go.
