[Support our Advertisers!] Contributions from our Members:   "Happy Friday!" ... It was just a matter of time before it happened. For more than seven years I have had a simple refrain I rehearsed each time I queried about homeschooling: "If God calls you to it, He will enable and provide. He will not fail. The foundation of a good education is a submitted heart; a child who is hard hearted will just become a well-informed heathen." [Support our Advertisers!]

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise the words of prophets, but test everything; hold fast to what is good; abstain from every form of evil. May the God of peace himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept sound and blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do this. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-24

It is the third week of Advent, known as the week of Joy. Sometimes I think I have little to give thanks for and little to rejoice in, but I remember that I am awaiting the certain coming of Christ, and my circumstances, whatever they are, are preparing me for His coming. For this I am thankful, and the anticipation brings me joy, as well.

If my circumstances are challenging, difficult, painful...well, this is the result of my human condition. I can offer my suffering to Christ as a prayer. If I am overwhelmed with too much work, I can offer that as well.

This is how I pray without ceasing--by offering all I think, say, do, and experience to Him each day. And when I am in a constant state of prayer, I have my eyes on the prize--eternal life in Jesus. And for this, I rejoice!

Holy Spirit, let me be open to Your gift of joy this week!

Dh and I just finished putting up the Christmas tree, something we traditionally do on the third weekend of Advent. The fourth "week" is almost non-existent, because Christmas is a week from Monday, so it is truly a time to anticipate and prepare. Here's my plan:

Aquafit 8:30
Clean downstairs
Bake bread
Catfish for dinner
Work on knitting projects

Aquazumba 8:30
Clean upstairs
Fiber Fun 5 pm
Leftovers for dinner
Prayer group 7 pm -- take prayer shawl for dh to be blessed

Chemo day for dh--take gifts for doctors
Work on knitting projects
Pasta for dinner

Yoga 8:30
Grocery shopping
Work on gifts
Caroling in the park 5:30
pizza for dinner

Aquafit 8:30
Finish gifts

Farmers Market
Church 6:30

Prep food for tomorrow
Bills & budget
Feed worms

What are you doing?

Have a wonderful week! SOAP for all of you.

Good Morning Lovelies,

We are back in MN (much to our surprise since the Atlanta power outage cause mass chaos). Today is school and the final prep. for UT. I do need to do some laundry. A few days of living tandom w/our house-sitters is happening - thankfully, it is fine.

** laundry
** school
** pack school books as dd is done w/them
** put window washing fluid in pretty car
** ?? subaru dealer for new short antenna? I don't know if it's worth the time/drive but it would be nice.
** check in w/my parents
** get measured dog food in baggies for friend while she keeps dog for 2 days and for when my husband is driving out with the pup.

Have a lovely day,all.

25yos, 23yos, 13 yod I guess I am old enough for adult children.

My stomach hurts, but I still choose joy! :-)

"What Greater Glory?" ... Recently, I heard a sermon that asked, "How are you spending your time on earth?" The main success story that was used to inspire us was an impressive family that worked together, ate together, and spent each evening reading and being together.
