Anyone have an opinion on her books? I confess, I hadn't heard of them until dd was asking. When I looked into the "controversy" I was worried. So, I am coming here for more information.

Honestly, the actual journaling she does/did isn't different from what I do myself at times. I guess the problem is that she offered up her personal prayer time thoughts as "revelations" for other believers. Perhaps her methods aren't wrong, but the presentation as relevant for other believers to know is.

I'd love to learn more.

I read most of Jesus Today. I haven't read a bunch of the controversy, but I'd stay away. My problem with it is that she is essentially putting words in Jesus' mouth.

Here is a good article - https://www.challies.com/articles/10-serious-problems-with-j esus-calling/

"Take All the Time You Need, But Hurry Up!" ... "One crisp September morning, many years ago, I snapped a picture of our son going off to second grade. He is perching on our porch scrubbed and grinning. As I relived this "Kodak" moment, a familiar sad feeling flooded my heart."
