What are your plans?

I am having Thanksgiving dinner here, so today is basically preparing for that.

I have dropped off a poster at the craft fair, gone to the farmers market, and made the steamed pudding. The house is mostly picked up, but I’ll do a little more tonight. I still have to pay bills and do budgeting.

We are having pizza and salad for dinner tonight, and going to church at 6\30.

Sunday will involve getting the turkey in the oven early, and general food prep all morning. Kids are coming to dinner at noon or so, with plans to eat by 1. We may play some games after dinner for fun.

How about you?

Have a wonderful weekend! SOAP for all of you.

I caulked the hall bath! Laughing It wasn't the best job, but it's done and it looks better than it did. We've been here seven years and I figured dh wasn't going to get around to it anytime soon, lol. Wink The rest of the weekend will be working on prep for Thanksgiving, too, but we're having ours Thursday. Mom's got pt Monday, follow up with her surgeon Tuesday and pt Wednesday (and Drew has an appt w/his job coach then, too), so I'll fit things in here and there as needed. Hopefully Bethany can come down Wednesday to chauffeur everyone around while I do some food pre-prep.

I'm SO excited! Dh got me an Instant Pot for my bday!!! <3 He was going to wait until my bday (Friday), but it'll be such a help this week! Woo! Very Happy

I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. ~Phil 3:13-14~

I am completely free of all Thanksgiving duty - which I'm grateful. Yesterday I found out a farm about an hour north of here was having a special little kids outing and I was able to take Jonah out right away without having to worry about dipping into any time spent for preparation. Then I took a nice long nap, and after dinner spent a good amount of time outside on the deck with my neighbor-friend.

I've had trouble with exhaustion since returning from our trip last month - couple of colds and things happened since, but Franklin mentioned last night that he's feeling it as well.

Thoughts on Courtship and Preparation for Marriage ... "Homeschooling gives us a wonderful opportunity to disciple and train our children in principles for godly living during their most formative years. Since the essential qualities for marriage aren't formed overnight, preparation for marriage actually begins from the cradle --and we can ask the Lord to be our guide!" Tamara shares some articles and guidelines she wrote for her own young adults...
