"Homeschooling opens many doors for willing students, but homeschooling will not magically unlock a child's heart or mind who is determined to do according to his or her own will. Even a wee child may have a tiny heart with an enormous will of iron, binding it shut even to the most loving parent's overtures. The challenges they present are tangible. Is there a real remedy?" I think I am losing weight in sympathy with dh. I guess I am not thinking about eating so much. So, without really trying, I am now at a milestone: only 10 pounds to lose to reach my goal!

I am making a conscious effort to continue to get exercise every day. I need to be sure I stay healthy so I can support dh. So, I am trying to get an hour of exercise each and every day.

I am losing about a pound a week, which is a safe rate. I would like to continue with that.

How about you?

YAY!!! That's great, Lisa! Smile

This week has been awful and my weight is UP. Too much stress eating and snacking. My goal for this next week is to cut out snacks (except a small one with my meds at night) and to really watch portions again. I was doing well with that and need to get back to it. If things calm down enough I'd like to try to walk some on the treadmill. Things have been crazy busy the past few weeks.

I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. ~Phil 3:13-14~

I'm up. Embarassed It seems like I can only go so long on low-carb. I do really well for weeks on end and then it is like a dam bursts.

The damage isn't too bad, though. And I feel motivated to get back on track.

I finish up the last of my big greek yogurt stash tomorrow. After that, I am going to try dairy free for a few weeks to see if that helps my joint issues. I don't have too many aches, but maybe it will help.

Dh returns at the end of the week and he is bringing some new abdominal workout dvd's with him from the States, so I am looking forward to that. I have two races in November, so until those are done, I don't have a lot of flexibility in my workouts--lots of running on the agenda. I'm only doing 10k's and my time is atrocious, but I like the focus it gives me.

In Him--Tracy
