How has your week been as far as eating goes?

Eating was atrocious this week while family was here! Embarassed I have suspected for a while but this week confirmed that I am most definitely a social eater!!! Shocked

How has your week been as far as exercise goes?

We did a ton of walking and I'm paying for it this week. Confused

How is your progress toward your goal?

I was able to maintain my weight while family was here (which is a HUGE shocker!) and am plugging away at getting my eating back to reasonable.

What are your goals for the coming week?

My goals are to continue to see a downward trend on the scales. We'll see if my body complies. Wink

I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. ~Phil 3:13-14~

Eating:
Too much snacking in the evenings! I am going to try for herbal tea or water and fresh fruit or veggies only after dinner.

Exercise:
OK, not the greatest. I met my steps goals most days, but had a couple of low days. I need to get out and walk on days I don't get to aquafit or work.

Progress:
I didn't gain weight, but didn't lose either...

Goals for the week:
Stop the snacking at night!
Get 10K steps minimum every day.
Lose one pound.

I was so waiting for this post for today!!!

Eating this week:

It went well. I was disciplined to the point of being excessively restrictive, but it paid off, so I am happy. I don't know if it is mental or chemical/physical but I seem to go in cycles of eating well and then not so great. This week was an eat well.

Exercise:

This isn't an area of struggle. It's exercise or anti-anxiety pills. I like the results of exercise better.

Progress:

Finally met a goal that has eluded me for four years (since menopause). I definitely have plenty to lose still, but I am not sure about my next goal. I'll work on that this week.

Goal for the week: Maintain this week's loss. It would be unrealistic to expect more loss for a week or two. If I can just maintain and not bounce back, I'll be happy.

Lisa, I need to curb snacking too! That'll be my goal for this week. No snacking except the bedtime snack that I have when I take my meds.

Tracy, yay for hitting a goal! Smile I hear you on the cycles of eating. Confused

Checking in quick -

Eating - better - Pam, I would take you up on the idea of posting different vegie recipes. My standard 'go to' is roasted broccoli but my dd and husband are not fans.

Mt. Dew - 3 and none of them were satisfying. My goal for this week is 1

Exercising - better but room for improvement

Water - I am at 2 liters a day and must drink more and remember to bring a bottle in the car.

Tracy, yay on meeting your goal!

I'll post the link (since they have TONS of ideas) and maybe we can start our own, too. I love roasted broccoli!!! Haven't done it for ages but I love it roasted with sliced garlic (which is a pain, lol, but oh, so worth it!) and flaked almonds. Drooool! Laughing

I found a recipe last night on putting the broccoli in a skillet instead of the oven - might have to try that. It calls for parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and garlic.

I will check out the link you posted, Pam. Thanks!

Doing it in a skillet would be so much easier, especially in the summer when roasting veggies in the oven heats the house! Let me know how you like it, Renee.
