Good morning! It's grocery day, but we still have lots of food in the house, so I think it will be a fairly quick shopping trip.

I am planning to take a nice long walk this afternoon, because there's no yoga barre class today.

I have a few phone calls to make--checking on the kitty's blood work results, and getting a car insurance quote.

I think I'll change the sheets and get out the summer bedspread...and do a general "house blessing"--basic tidy up job. Hope to get out and do a bit in the yard as well.

Basically, just a day to putter and do a little of this and a little of that...

The next 3 days I'll be at the museum all day. I'm working as tour guide on Friday, and the Shaker Forum starts Friday afternoon. Should be interesting, and there will be receptions and good lunches and dinners. Dh, I'm afraid, will be on his own to eat up all the Easter leftovers. He was planning a bike ride in CT on Sunday, but the weather may be bad...poor guy!

Jamie, we ended up just getting a take out dinner last night and not going to the movie. I would probably have fallen asleep if I had gone, so it is just as well... Laughing

Renee, I don't recall if I welcomed you back...if not...Welcome back!

What's going on at your house?

Have a great day! SOAP for all of you.

Good morning! I'm actually posting on time. (I hear you, Lisa, on being too tired for a movie.)

Our 1-week road trip / Stay vacation has taken it's toll on the house, so I'm still dedicating my day just to righting the laundry and straightening up. Part of the "clash" I'm dealing with in just the visual clutter is homeschooling related (supplies, displays, etc.). I realized that I just don't have the set up that we need, rather that I would like, and the house is going to continue to look and feel messy to me as a result. It's also more difficult to work around, IMO. I'm just not sure what to do.

I have a grocery run that I'm going to try to do on my own late this afternoon, once DH wakes. His shift is over today, but he's really really sick...so our intended attempt to stretch out the fun of last week will probably be put on the shelf.

Small vent: Our neighbors (who don't actually live there) who share the wall upstairs against all our bedrooms have been renovating/remodeling their place since November. There's no working with them, because they aren't here (just hired contractors) for starting later in the day - and it's taken a physical toll on all of us. I literally look older than I should from poor sleep, and Franklin is more tired throughout the day. Head of HOA doesn't really have anything in place to deal with it, because DH works odd hours...if we were normal, 2-income day shift families, we'd never even know construction was taking place.

Peace

Morning. I'm a bit under the weather. Not enough to warrant staying in bed, but enough that I don't feel like doing anything and need a little extra rest so it doesn't get worse.

Thankfully, I don't have anywhere I need to be until later in the day. I need to go pick up a grocery order at 3:00 and DD has dance at 6:45. Other than that, I can just stay home and do some housework.

Lisa, have fun at the museum! How large is the museum?

Jamie, sorry to hear about the disrupted sleep! That is so frustrating!

Oh, Jamie, That's hard! Would ear plugs or white noise help at all? If it's hammering and such, probably not.

Good Morning,

It's starting to look decent here as long as one doesn't look in the guest bedroom! Embarassed Razz Laughing Shocked Embarassed I decided to just stash everything from our re-entry in the guest room and take care of it as I'm able. We had just dumped everything in the living room when we got back, but that's the first thing one sees and the visual was just too overwhelming.

Today is more laundry. Since we ended up leaving Utah in such a hurry, I just tossed everything into bags/cases without thought and am washing everything before I put it away.

Dd has a friend coming this afternoon so I will work at putting more stuff away.

I hope to get the dog out for a good 3-4 mile walk with dd's friend is here.

Have a lovely day, all.

Stacy, it's a relatively small museum. There was a Shaker community here from 1793 till 1923. At its peak there were upwards of 300 members. There's a large stone building (at one time the tallest building north of Boston) which was the main dwelling house, and the museum is in the two lower floors. There are overnight rooms for rent in the higher floors. We do have several other buildings and some nice property, though. Here's a link:
