Then why does our country pour money into *sheltering* homeless people from the realities of the street? Why do we build tornado *shelters* ? Last summer (in our oppressive FL heat) I swore we were going to eat nothing but salads - and, of course we didn't. I want to this year. Too, though, I want to try the Mason Jar Salad method so that something is quick and easy (or ready to eat) for Franklin on or after his shift.

I get the whole "order" of heavier ingredients on bottom, etc. However, I've never really tried preparing and leaving a salad overnight...and I'm reading posts that discuss prepping 5 days worth of salads at a time (which is what I am looking for)...

What I do not have is anyone who has tried prepared mason jar salads...I'd like some in real life feedback concerning the texture/taste (particularly of the lettuce) on the later half of the week. I'm hoping someone here has tried and will be willing to share? And, of course, any other hints/tips/suggestions would be welcome.

Peace

A Christ-Centered Home ... So perhaps we can all strive to encourage each other in this common goal-- training our children up in the way they should go (the Lord's Way!) without casting judgments based upon whether we follow a certain program or method of homeschooling --whether we use textbooks, unit studies or other resources in a formal or relaxed style. Instead, let each family seek wisdom and discernment from the Lord! He will never fail!
