Is this a thing? I mean, is there scripture for this? I'm listening to a pretty controversial issue that is taking over our local social media about a local church and this sentiment has cropped up in essence, but finally someone said it. It was in a barrage of phone call commenters on news radio.

Peace

Only three things are necessary to make life happy: the blessing of God, books, and a friend.

I googled the same thing once it was stated. It definitely was not a misspeak and matched/made more sense of all the changes I see within Christian churches/groups/spokespeople overall.

God doesn't change but I do believe that what we think we *know* about Him should/does change as we continue to seek Him. I know plenty of people who felt they "knew God" but as they matured they've developed such clarity that the actually "know God" in a totally different way.

However, I don't know what sentiment you speak of so I'm not sure this would apply.

It might be a thing, but if it is, it is a wrong thing.

He is The All Sufficient One: El Shaddai; Genesis 17;1-3 is the text that our Pastor used this weekend in discussing El Shaddai. He is God Almighty Who is Unchanging.

When you think of All Sufficient, in light of your question....All Sufficient then, would lead me to think that if He was already All Sufficient then, He has no need to change in order to be sufficient for me today.

And that brings me to to El Roi: The God who sees me. Gen 16:11-14.

Dina ....... HE has made me glad!

Living With a Clean Slate ... Sin is not a word we hear much about during the excesses of the holidays. However, confessing it is the key to opening the door to a new beginning. Nobody coerces me to eat chocolate; no one compels the angry words that spew from my lips; and nobody commands me to be impetuous, imprudent and self-centered. What but sin explains our continual failure to do that which we purpose to do?
