We've lived in this house for almost a year and a half now and I saw my first rattle snake this morning. *gulp* I tried, but wasn't able to kill it, so I called my fil. He was able to come down (he lives next door, thank God!) and vanquish the foe. *shudder* It was 36" long and I'm so thankful that my failed attempt didn't end in me getting bit and thankful that fil didn't get bit and that he was willing and able to deal with it for me! I had just brought our puppy in from outside maybe 20 minutes before ds shouted, "MOM! There's a RATTLESNAKE on our patio!" Needless to say I'm not letting her roam alone in the yard anymore until we can start snake aversion training! Shocked Whew!
