Dh reviewed the first movie for our family and said "no". I am very visual, and purposely did not review the movie with him.

I am vaguely aware of the story line though, since it so permeates our contemporary culture.

My son (21) and I saw the first two movies and we enjoyed them.
Again it is not something I would have my young girls watch until they are older and can make their own decision.

#3 only because at this point, while I don't intend to ever watch them, that may change and I don't want to be definitive Smile

Haven't seen them and don't plan to for the same reasons I've not read the books (which I addressed under Poll #1)

I need an "other" option I think. I saw the first couple and thought they were "ok", but by the 3rd or 4th one they had gotten so dark and creepy that I really did not care for them.

I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. ~Phil 3:13-14~

I have seen two of them - and can't remember them at all! So obviously they didn't make much of an impression, but that's night shift for you... Confused

I need an 'other.' I haven't seen any of the movies, because I didn't find the first book interesting. The kids, who have gotten older, have or have ot, at their choice. Dh isn't a reader and rarely sees movies. He thinks the whole thing silly. Wink

"Discontent with Our Father" ... Discontentment, Impatience and Pride enjoy walking with me, tearing down, wearing thin and puffing up. They are usually blurred together and disguised as "Doing What's Best". In her book, Keep a Quiet Heart, Elisabeth Elliot addresses us how we can be discontent with our heavenly Father.
