I had to put some combo. It would be nice if we could choose more than one response in a poll! Here are the ones I believe:

3. Government should stick toward only doing certain things

4. Government should be limited to the country's constitution, etc

6. Government are ministers of God in our lives
(Okay, truth be told, my head doesn't agree with this, given our current gov't, but it's in the Bible, so I have to accept it. Very Happy)

8. I tend toward wanting less government than I have now..

10. Government oversteps its bounds

12. Government is [taking] us in a wrong direction

13. I don't trust the government as far as I can throw them

14. We live in free countries with the best governments there are

15. Government has a place

16. Government is just plain inefficient

18. Render unto Caesar/the government the things that are Caesar's

Blessings,
Lisa R.

"The government" is just people. Elected people, doing their best to make the world better, as they see it. They are not perfect, not always right or wrong, sometimes they get bad advice or are corrupt - just people. Democracy is not a very efficient system, but seems to be the best system invented so far for preventing abuse.

There does have to be some form of government or you'd get, not anarchy exactly, but a form of "might makes right" where the most powerful/rich/violent get to be in charge - not an improvement, IMO.
