Who do you have the best fellowship with?[ 31 vote(s) ]
1.Something else... 3 / 10%
2.I get my best fellowship online, here on CHFWeb, with other like-minded Christian women. 1 / 3%
3.I fellowship best with people from my church (both men and women) 3 / 10%
4.I fellowship best with other Christian women 9 / 29%
5.I fellowship best with my family of origin (parents/siblings) 0 / 0%
6.I fellowship best with my family (husband/children) 9 / 29%
7.I fellowship best with just my husband 6 / 19%

By "fellowship" I mean encouragement and advice, good relationships, conversation, prayer, etc. The whole box and dice of a meaningful relationship, not just having a cup of tea together.

That's hard to choose. I voted #1, something else.
I have good fellowship with my in-laws (mil, fil, sil, bil...), with people from church, I'll enjoy some time tomorrow with our homeschool group, and the fellowhip here is such a blessing.I guess whichever one I am experiencing is the best! Very Happy

I chose with other Christian women. For me it's specifically one woman. She and I have gotten very close over the past few years and really cherish our relationship. Along with her I have a connection with two other women friends which is also very fulfilling.

My dh is a Christian and he remains my "best friend" but there are times when getting with my girl friend/s is more sufficient.

This is interesting. I had always imagined that I was terribly deprived of Christian fellowship because of my dh not being a Christian. However, I have recently become aware that a lot of women with Christian husbands STILL do a lot of their prayer and fellowship with other Christian women! I found this rather surprising and wanted to know if it is true.

I put husband/family. But I joined a mentor/mentee group at church and it's ranking a close second.

Blessings,

I voted my husband. I have friends and other family members that I enjoy getting together with but my dh is the one who I can share everything with and have the deepest fellowship.

I voted my dh/children, but CHFWEB is right up there. I usually go here for advice, if dh does not have an opinion on something.

I put my dh. But, family and CHF come in a close second. Smile

I have good fellowship at church, but being the pastor's wife I tend to be a little more guarded.

I had to vote something else, because it often depends on the the situation. I have a couple of real close friends as well as my hubby.

I think I just voted twice.

I fellowship best with my family.

My son has a theological brain that is just to big for his 7 year old head. Very Happy

He comes up with questions and observations that I would never think of. Often times I will say, "Go ask Dad" (after all, he is the spiritual head of the home) so we we all discuss it together.

I also am blessed by the fellowship that I have here amongst you ladies.

Also my best friends. But they live out of state, so it is hard sometimes. Sad

I have met one lady here that I am comfortable enough to fellowship with.

I serve a Risen Savior.

I put other...
And the reason is, I don't necessarily only fellowship with women from my church or homeschool group....
My family is very important to me but can not relate to all that I go thru. So, I look for women that are real and can have fun and not take life too seriously. I have a couple of neighbors that I look to. I have a couple of friends from an old church I attend.
And I have a couple of friends from my church.
And I also have friends from my child hood, in school. So, it's just a big variety.

Blessings,
MellieJoy

But since moving far away from family, our church has become our family. Most families in our church are like we are, living here far awar from extended family, so we get together alot. We have a pot luck at our church almost every month. We are really enjoying it.

blessings,

Hands down husband and children! (what in the world does that expression MEAN????) Anyway, we all enjoy each other's company (granted sometimes the children get on one another's nerves but it works out in time) and I would rather be with my family than with almost anyone else. When it comes to those outside my family, I would have to say you gals (for a group), but there are a few gals here in my church that I have some sweet and wonderful fellowship with, just ever one-on-one.

In His Joy and Grace,

Kate

Elizabby,

I brought up in another thread re: what to look for in a mate re: their relationship with the Lord. I would suspect that even if two people ARE Christians when they marry, they might not be "on the same level" re: talking about spiritual matters, let alone people that marry nonChristians.

This reminded me of a friend whose mom died when she was a teen. She did not have her mom's help for when her children were born and felt "left out." Some of those in the conversation told her that even when moms ARE around, they might be emotionally closed or unable/unwilling to help out.

Just to say that you might not be as deprived as you think you are.

As the book says, Men from Mars/Women From Venus. This brings with it challenges between the sexes (different fellowship needs and ways of communicating). Women to women fellowship is different from women to men.

I guess good fellowship for me occurs when we're on the same wavelength. Very Happy

"Restoring the Joy of Work" ... It was obvious to me that beyond re-establishing our routine, we had to work on our hearts. Our hearts had to be into our work.
